The Barge Slim (often written “SLM”) is a deconstructed, vegan-friendly version of the Barge. It sheds bulk by using an all-canvas or synthetic upper (no leather) and a lower profile cupsole. Elastic tongue “wings” keep the tongue centered and add a slip-on feel. It still has an STI Level 1 insole and Geo-Hex tread for grip, but overall the shoe is lighter and more minimal than the Barge LS. Essentially the Barge Slim offers the look and feel of the original but caters to skaters wanting a cruelty-free, slimmer shoe that doesn’t compromise on comfort or boardfeel.
