Great quality shoes very comfortable will last years. had my last pair of etnies shoes (joslin) for 2 years waring daily still holding strong no major ware on the in or outer sole just grown out of them.

Etnies skate shoe history: Marana then Joslin and now Marana Santa Cruz. I will be very loyal to either Marana or Joslin, they never fail me. I love how Etnies fit, feel, cushion and sloooowly wear down.

This pair of Maranas surprised me in that they felt tighter than my other two pairs. However, a couple of days with shoe stretchers, some time out on the board and they are started to feel like home.

Needs breaking in to skate, but sizing is right and quality is high.

I have been purchasing this model show since I noticed it being offered, over five years now.
The supportiveness and durability have improved over time.
The newer STI insoles are definitely better than the previous insert.
I wear these to work and also as a casual shoe.
Despite the improved insole, this pair noticeably has less comfort sooner than the previous pair under the same circumstances.

That being said, I can install a pair of arch supports for better comfort and support, and I know the shoes can last easily 6 months of constant abuse.

I am definitely purchasing an additional pair to keep nice for casual as opposed to using just one pair at a time.

My only suggestion is to make the inside heel material more resilient as it tends to wear out long before the external structure of the shoe shows extreme wear.
