Fire!! I always wanted this color way back in the 90’s but never had them. They feel amazing right out of the box and look amazing. Probably best to order half size down.

The Sal lives up to the hype! Super plush and comfortable. Definitely gonna need some break-in time, they’re built sturdy and durable. I usually order 10s on Etnies, but I probably could have done a 9.5 with these. Plenty of toe box room, which I like. I put Vans popcush insoles in these, and it’s like walking in a dream. Been loving Etnies again, and the Sal’s are a must!

Absolute bet skate shoe on t he market. They feel broken in and ready to go right from the start.

I had these back in the day and had to have another pair. They do fit about 1/2 size small compared to what I generally wear but once I returned 11s and got 11 1/2 they’re so damn comfy. Chunky but not too chunky, good support, cushion but board feel. Love them so much.

The shoes are good, they just sent me the wrong T-shirt and the sweatshirt I received is small.poor service, i will be letting people know in a review.👎🏼

Can’t believe we are able to buy a picture perfect SAL 23 in 2025. Amazing. Navy and purple colorways have the tongue straps! All earlier colorways do not BUT luckily still stay on your foot cause of the leather collar. Hopefully these never go away again

The fit on this shoe is slightly off, I would definitely recommend trying it on first. I order half size down and maybe could have gone a full size after they stretched out. The shoe its self is very well made, I’ve actually had some of my best skates in them, the flick is very good once broken in, heel flips are great. It’s not a thick shoe really, the sole is quite thin, but it does give enough support and confidence to stomp tricks. I will say something about the toe box is slightly off and definitely not how the originals were. I also think it’s criminal releasing a skate shoe without tongue straps especially when it’s an obvious lace breaker. I would give this more stars because i love the shoe, I just want them to correct the sizing and tongue strap issues then it would be perfect. They are holding up well after 10 hours.

skating amazing just like I remember

I really really want to give a good review for these shoes as I am an late 90's skater and grew up with all versions of these shoes- the original Etnies version, the eS version sans the metal lace holes, the Sal 23.5's with the velcro strap, as well as the 2002 re-release and the later "skinny-version" re-release which we shall not speak of. I ordered a pair of Black/Black (love them) and White/Black (ehhhh) and I need to warn you that the color on this release's White/Black is not white, it's Cream. The pictures on the website are either altered, using a different material, or this is some kind of mistake. The originals weren't like this. I really don't want to hate- because I love the shoes, but I *was* disappointed when unboxing and I don't want others to go through this- if I had known the white suede was so "off" i wouldn't have bought as many pairs as I did. See the pictures and judge for yourself- notice the difference between the inner part of the tongue and the suede. BTW, the carpet in the picture is a cream-colored carpet and the lighting is natural daylight next to a window.

The shoes are a 5/5. They are very much the same shoe from back in the day! I am happy with the sneakers. I wish Etnies put my shoes in a box before they mailed me them. They used a BAG , so the shoebox was destroyed. Luckily the shoes weren’t damaged! Use a cardboard box instead of those grey/white bags! I collect sneakers so the box is important to me also. I’m knocking one point for the box. Otherwise great sneakers!

The addition of the tongue straps is a much welcome addition to the new run of this shoe, fit perfect and feel fantastic!

SUCH an amazing shoe! I want to order a couple more pairs. So light weight i didnt even think there was shoes in the box. Plus they look like nice dress up shoes, so 2 in 1 for usage
